New Carnival Funfair Games
By BillGameBase
Wii - 2K Play
At SpecialEffect we have got a lot of mileage out of the original Carnival Funfair Games on the Wii through our various projects. With it's simple and intuitive gameplay style, many of the mini games are instantly engaging and fun.
New Carnival Funfair Games delivers the same bitesize chunks of instant fun with 'over 30 new games and attractions.' As previously, the fairground is divided into different areas each with a group of funfair challenges which can be played between one and four players. All of the games only require the use of the Wiimote without the nunchuck and can be played with or without the Wii motion plus and with just one hand and sat down.
Real-time Sensory Substitution
By One SwitchHave you seen the video above (or had it described to you)? What a grin! And what a fantastic idea for making a mainstream game more accessible. Many thanks to Eelke Folmer for sending us this info (read on for more detail), and to Tony for creating it. Exciting and ground-breaking stuff! We can't wait to get our hands on this to take to some roadshows.
Raquet Sports Party
By BillGameBase
Wii - Ubisoft
Raquet Sports Party offers Tennis, Table Tennis, Badminton, Squash and Beach Tennis in various different game modes and locations, to keep swinging your Wiimote fresh for multiple gaming hours.
WiiMotion plus controllers can be used to increase realism and accuracy. Gameplay requires no button presses (once you are in a game swinging of the Wiimote is all that is needed). Different strokes can be used for advanced players e.g. lob, top spin, drop shot etc, but forehand, backhand and serve will cover most shots.
V.I. Tennis
By One Switch
PC Windows - VI Fit (freeware)
VI Tennis brings a Wii Sports like experience to blind players. Using Wii remote controllers, sound, vibration and a little imagination.
Options are easily navigated, and include a one player against the computer, or a two player game. Players can also adjust the speed of the game, which is a must for beginners.
Wii-mote Controllers - D.I.Y. Accessibility Hacks
By One Switch
When the Nintendo Wii was released in 2006, it's Wii Remote (or Wiimote as I prefer to wrongly call it) was hailed as revolutionary.
It certainly did open up gaming for many people who previously found the likes of a Sony Playstation Joy-pad far too complicated. Unfortunately, it closed the door on a lot of people too, such as accessibility switch users.
The good news for some of those excluded players, is that there are ways to adapt the Wii remote to make it a bit more accessible.
Another Code R: A Journey into Lost Memories
By BillGameBase

Wii - Cing/Nintendo
'Read and Solve like a Mystery
Novel!'
The game plays like a mixture between playing a point and click
adventure game and reading a 'Whodunnit?' There is a lack of
quick reactions or complicated co-ordination or dexterity
required by the gameplay.
Much of the gameplay involves talking to people to gain
information and clues to help solve the mystery of Ashley's
mother's death. The interaction with objects and people aswell as
movement around the game involves pointing the Wiimote at area of
the screen and pressing the 'A' button to select
them.
Tomena Sanner
By BillGameBase
Wii (available on wiiware) - One Button Wai Wai Action/Konami
"In Tomena Sanner, players take on the role of businessman Hitoshi Susumu who is behind schedule and won't stop running until he gets to his ultimate dance party... A high speed side-scrolling action title, Tomena Sanner also features a unique timing based control system that players can utilize as they jump, dance and fly over hurdles that come their way."
Use the 'A' button on the Wiimote as the sole input method for instantly engaging and imaginative use of one button gameplay. It is playable in single player mode or with up to four players sharing a split screen over nine levels. The menu's are navigated with using the Wiimote's d-pad.
