This game is a good’un, a simple concept but with huge challenge if you choose to accept it. The story is explained in one screen’s worth of storyboard. You’re a kangaroo skipping happily along with your little blue friend, then suddenly little blue friend gets snatched and you have to make your way to Sydney Zoo to get him back- job done!

The relative ease and lack of expense of creating an application for Apple’s handheld devices has opened up the world of programming and self-publication to the masses, creating a thriving indie scene and some would say keeping the handheld gaming market alive. How many times have you seen a business man/lady on the train, the type that wouldn’t dream of owning a Nintendo DS, happily playing Angry Birds for the entire journey?

How accessible is Mortal Kombat? Not too bad.......
You can remap the controls although you can’t change the function of the left analog stick and d-pad, these are for your characters movement and you can’t even use the right stick which is a shame.
You also can’t change how you perform combos, specials or fatalities these are set in stone. Performing special moves is the usual push down then right and B or hold back then push forward and Y sort of thing, fatalities are performed in a similar manner but are just a little more elaborate.
