In Wavespark rather than play a character, or even an inanimate object, you control the gravitational pull of the in-game world using a keyboard button of your choice (except P or Q) or a switch.

The aim is to increase the speed of the ball by increasing the strength of gravity on it as it travels along the waves ridge.

Timing is tricky at first and over zealous use of gravity is rewarded little , with the ball crashing full speed into a ridge face with the cry of 'OUCH' as it comes to an abrubt stop. After a few tries, however, getting into the flow of the waves starts to feel natural and keeping the ball moving at pace easier.

The controls require the user to hold a switch (or key) for different time periods and release it with fairly accurate timing.

Give it a go
here.
