Top Speed 3 builds on the strong base that versions 1 and 2 offered by making tweeks and additions to create the most complete version of this audio only racing game yet.

The most noticable additions to the casual player are the new tracks (including a rally through the desert and a race through rush hour traffic), vehicles (including an old schoolbus and a chopper motorcyle) and ambiences (including new title music).

Force feeback is a new option for those using a joystick to give another sensory element to help find your way through your surroundings. The basic keyboard controls (which can be remapped) are the left and right cursor keys to steer and the up and down the accelerate and brake respectively.

To steer you listen to your co-driver's directions ("easy left," "sharp right" etc)and also the noises from the track in stereo. If you here the ambient track noises moving to your left, steer to the left.

Top Speed 3 offers a real challenge whether against the computer (with up to seven other racers) or in multiplayer mode online. The gameplay is absorbing, requiring concentration and immersion in your virtual surroundings to maintain the control of your vehicle on the track.
