Wii - Ubisoft

Raquet Sports Party offers Tennis, Table Tennis, Badminton, Squash and Beach Tennis in various different game modes and locations, to keep swinging your Wiimote fresh for multiple gaming hours.

WiiMotion plus controllers can be used to increase realism and accuracy. Gameplay requires no button presses (once you are in a game swinging of the Wiimote is all that is needed). Different strokes can be used for advanced players e.g. lob, top spin, drop shot etc, but forehand, backhand and serve will cover most shots.

The game can be purchased with a Ubisoft Motion Camera, allowing for controller free gaming. Use of the camera is only available in single player mode. When using the camera, all that is required to hit the ball in a hand movement similar to that when holding the Wiimote. Swings available are: Serving, forehand, backhand and effetc (top spin/back spin). Most menu's still need to be interacted with using the Wiimote, however in a 'Quick Match' the user can keeping on playing (selecting 'Re-Match') using the camera alone.

The Raquet Sports Party Camera package offers the opportunity for those who have difficulty holding the Wiimote, to get involved in the fun and involving genre of 'exergames,' of which we can hope for many more games using this technology to be released on the Wii, competing with the PS3 Eye Camera, and Xbox 360 Kinect for a controller free gaming experience.
