"Discover the roots of a timeless legend. Unlock the many secrets of Dire Grove...and hurry! "
This addition to the Mystery Case Files Series and the hidden object genre as a whole continues to expand the depth and quality of gameplay, whilst keeping to the simple game mechanics.
The aim is to solve the mystery of Dire Grove and the missing students, through finding objects and clues and completing puzzles.
The game is pointer controlled and allows for the use of any accurate mouse input method. Much of the the game is point and click navigation and interaction. The puzzles, however, often require dragging of the mouse to complete them. If you cannot solve one you can skip it using the icon on the bottom right of the screen. This 'Hint' barometer allows you to also be helped when you are having trouble finding an object. Once used it recharges. When it has finished recharging, it can be used again.
The game is instantly involving, placing you straight into the heart of case, whilst the progression of difficulty allows you to build up your searching skills if you are new to this genre and method of gameplay and offers enough of a challenge for those who are more familier.
