Football Manager Live
By Bill (R&D, SpecialEffect)
PC - Sports Interactive/Sega
Football Manager Live is not simply a direct transfer of the FM 2009 game to an online version. It is focused on the idea of online game play and built out from that. This has resulted in a standalone game, which offers a new experience from the offline versions.

PC - Kloonigames
An imaginative game with a big emphasis on creative play. By
drawing shapes and lines with your cursor you can help the red
ball reach the star. Its hard to get bored with this input method
as the possibilities for completing each challenge are
limitless.
Merlin: Camelot Defence

fish in a bottle
A nice little pointer controlled
game made up of 3 challenges based on the legend of Merlin and
Camelot. The aim is to stop Nimueh the Witch who is sending
magical creatures to attack Camelot. To do this you must place
spells on the trees and rocks, which line the
route.

‘Become a Mako operative and help Mata4orce uncover the sinister
truth.’ Admittedly I found it difficult to follow the story line
and why it was I was carrying out these challenges and what the
games I was playing represented (which may have something to do
with skipping at every opportunity). There are some involving and
imaginative games, which fit into the animated story or can be
accessed through the menu.
Pirate Golf Adventure

PC (opens in a separate window) - Headjump.de
Use golf to escape from the cannibals and their boiling cauldrons
to escape the island you have found yourself shipwrecked on. A
strange premise. The game is pointer controlled.
Move the cursor around for to choose direction and then hold down
the left mouse button to select the power of the
shot.
Hungry Shapes
By Bill (R&D, SpecialEffect)
PC (opens ina separate window) - OZDY
This is a pointer-controlled game requiring some timing skills in the later levels. It also demands imaginative thinking to make sure all you hungry shapes are fed. The objective is to drop or place them in various configurations so that they fill themselves up on the hamburgers dotted around the scenes.

‘Have you found me yet? I’m definitely in there…keep looking!’
There are three scenes to explore (a feast, the beach and a
department store) with numerous people and objects to find on the
checklists. The game is entirely pointer controlled. To look
around a scene you click and drag or use the mini map in the top
right corner. There is also a zoom slide bar on the left of the
screen. When you find an object or person left click on
them.

The website has many beautifully designed games to explore. Some
of my favourites include:
In ‘Starry Night’ (pictured) your cursor moves the bubble, with which you keep the falling stars in the air and aim to hit the unlit stars to light them up.
Warfare Transporter
By Bill (R&D, SpecialEffect)

PC (opens in a separate window) - Mateusz Skutnik
The simple objective of your
ship reaching the port, whilst avoiding submarine and air
attacks, makes this a quick (5 level) and enjoyable casual game.
It is pointer controlled, with the ship following your cursor
left and right. To fire at the subs click any where below the
water and to fire at the aeroplanes click anywhere above the
water line.
Racer

PC (opens in a separate window) - Cruden
Racer is an online racing similar like Live For Speed.’ Again it is pointer controlled, but in terms of eye control it can, initially, be easier to control with the cursor appearing on screen and handling can be smoother.
