Those with a deft touch with their head mouse should take up the challenge on court with this fast paced and demanding pointer controlled browser based tennis game.

Moving the cursor around moves your player (on the near side of the court) backwards, forwards and from side to side (no dragging is needed). A left click will swing your racket. Combine the correct positioning of your player along with a well timed swing and the result is a hit ball.

By One Switch
ESP-Helpsheet-1-4.jpg

This help sheet accompanies the first four "Electronic Soup Podcasts" on audio games and playing with a visual impairment. If anything grabbed your attention, then hopefully we have it duly linked here, for you to jump away to.

Missed the podcasts? Described by Damon Rose of the BBC's Ouch as, "the most unusual sounding podcast I've ever heard! Wow!". They came bundled up as part of Dave Banes' fantastic Access Collective, but you can now grab them alone from here: Podcast 1, 2, 3 (skinny), 3 (full-fat), 4 (short alternative) and finally 4 (extended).

Gran Turismo 5: Prologue

Gran Turismo 5: Prologue is, as the title hints, a preview of what we should expect to see from the much anticipated (not to mention much delayed) next installment in the racing simulator series.

With 60 cars, 6 tracks (with 12 variations) and online racing as well, this isn't your average demo. In addition, the game also comes with a full options menu including controls. This is where it stands above much of its competition, leading the way for many in terms of it's button and controls cusomisation features.

Bubble Pop

PC (opens in a browser) - Stupid Flash Games

In Bubble Pop you must control a deep sea creature using your pointer and collect bubbles and power ups, whilst avoiding the mines. Hit a mine and it's 'Game Over'. Your sea creature obediantly follows your cursor and there is no need to 'drag' it. No clicking is neccessary except in the menu.

The gameplay is highly reminiscent of flOw, but plays much quicker and is far less 'leisurely' and forgiving of mistakes.

Kerixep

Kerixep Screen Shot.jpg
PC (opens in a browser) - Fast Games

In Kerixep your aim is to change all the white squares on each level to red squares. You do this by moving your cursor (no dragging is required) over them. You must do this, however, in one continuous line without becoming trapped in a dead end. If you do get stuck, use a left mouse click to retry the level.

The gameplay is very similar to
Cuboid on the PS3, and similarly it has that 'I'll have just one more go' effect as you struggle with levels that tease and test your problem solving abilities.

PC (opens in a browser) - Fast Games

Hard Way's one key, side scrolling, distance gaining, completly addicting gameplay action plays like Canabalt and Epic Coaster. Like its stable mates, it is a fast paced game, requiring quick key (or switch) presses with accurate timing.

Using either the left mouse button, space bar or a switch set the control either, your aim is to gain the most distance (measured in metres) by using your sword to latch on to ropes, drop draw bridges and fend of attackers. Your one key will do all this for you, providing you get your timing correct.
