Thought I'd post an e-mailed answer to a request on a 13-year old boy with Myoclonic Dystonia who has upper body tremours and shakes, who wanted to play video games...

PC wise - would recommend looking at a foot-mouse for the massive array of point and click games...
Alternatives, if he wishes to use his upper body would be to consider the various systems that filter out tremors. Have a mooch through these:

For the Wii, the small number of games (e.g. Mario Kart and Puzzle Bobble/Bust-a-move) can be played with a classic controller - so there are various options here for arcade controller use with the feet potentially. The Wii is a bit of a nightmare for filtering out problems with aiming to be honest. It's possible that he could strap a controller to his leg using a switch adaptation from the likes of Broadened Horizons: http://www.broadenedhorizons.com/wiimote.htm (have a look through there, maybe the head unit might work?).
For other games consoles, as he's USA based, I'd recommend considering approaching Adam at Evil Controllers. He's built a set-up consisting of switches and a foot control unit here:
Possibly with those filter modules from Dream-Racer.com it may help (maybe not though). Also, latching modules/switches may help for racing games.
